Compensation and benefits: MSF practice is to offer the C&B package current in the MSF entity establishing the contract.
*By default, the successful candidate will be offered a contract in the MSF office of their country of residence at the time of application.
I. MSF INTERNATIONAL
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. MSF International is the legal entity that binds MSF’s 24 sections, 28 associations and 19 branch offices together. Registered in Switzerland, MSF International provides coordination, information and support to the MSF Movement, as well as implements international projects and initiatives as requested.
II. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
The Data Support Officer position has been created as a part of the SPINCO team, in the context of the project to modernize the master data ecosystem and will support the team and stakeholders to improve the quality of the data during development, migration, and rollout in the new software ecosystem. The position will be responsible primarily to:
Support the identification and rectification of data quality issues within the existing SPINCO solutions
Preparation for and execution of data migration to a new platform
Preparation and execution of functional testing and user testing
Development and delivery of training materials to the targeted end users
III. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and document data quality and consistency rules
Collaborate with the Technical Team to create and monitor data quality reporting
Collaborate with Data Owners and Process Owners to increase the quality of the data in their domains
Review and complete data dictionaries for existing and future systems
Prepare and complete mapping of data from current state to future state
Prepare data for migration to new platform
In collaboration with the technical team, complete migration of the data
Assist in preparation of user guides and training materials for end users
Delivery of training to targeted end users on how to complete data entry for new platform
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Certifications in data analysis, or project coordination are a plus.
Domain expertise in Medical or Logistical areas are a plus
1-2 years experience working with data management responsibilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail problem-solving abilities.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
MSF working experience an asset
English essential, French, Spanish, Arabic an asset
Specific Requirements:
Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
